Hello, there.

My name is Leonardo and I’m a trailer editor for low-budget independent filmmakers who want to find their audience. Ever since I was a kid, I have been obsessed with stories and films and how they made me feel. You probably got into this industry for a similar reason. You feel compelled to tell a story and make your audience feel something. But first, you need to get butts in seats. Or, I guess in this streaming age, you want the butt that’s already in the seat to watch your film. And for that, you need a great trailer.

There’s nothing I enjoy more than squeezing the emotional juice out of a movie into a trailer. So that in 2 minutes, people get to feel what they’re going to feel for 90 minutes watching your film.

I understand that, as a low-budget independent filmmaker, one of your greatest fears might be spending the time and the money to create a trailer that ultimately doesn’t find the right audience. That’s why when we work together, I make sure to communicate extensively with you, so I really understand the way you see your film. Over the years, I have cut trailers for several different genres and mediums, from short films and series pilots to videogames and stage plays, all the while gaining extensive knowledge and understanding of different Hollywood trailer styles. This has allowed me to solve story problems in many ways and approach the edit from new perspectives, so I can deliver to you a trailer that helps you connect more deeply with the right audience. And as a bonus, I won’t spoil the entire film either.

When I’m not cutting a trailer for a client, I’m cutting one for a feature or a tv series I like, always honing my skills and challenging myself. And when I’m passionate about a project, I can cut it fast. My latest spec trailer, for a show called The Edge of Sleep, took me 3 days to cut. And yes, I managed to get some sunlight in the meantime.

Want to see how I’ve helped other filmmakers and storytellers find their audience through their trailers?
